Suggested Use
Bath: Recommend dose is 1-2 tablespoons of the salts dissolved in a bathtub of warm water (35° C-38°C ). Take a bath 1-3 times a week for 10 – 20 minutes. Stir the water until all salt crystals completely dissolve. When using the bath salts, use neither soap, nor a shower gel. Gently dry your skin after the bath. In case you suffer from serious health problems (vascular and others) and taking a bath could overburden your organism, consult your physician regarding suitability of balneotherapy for you.
Nasal shower: It helps to maintain physiological cleaning ability of nasal mucous membrane and facilitate optimum functioning of so-called mucous-membrane immunity as a primary protection against infection. It is used for the moistening of mucous membranes of the whole nasal cavity and nasopharynx, mainly when staying in the places with low relative humidity, in the places where the central heating is used, and in the places contaminated with dust particles.
For the irrigation of nose, use the nasal shower (or nasal douche). These may be obtained in pharmacies. Nose may be irrigated also with the assistance of a jug. Use 1% salt solution (dissolve 10g of salt in 1 litre of lukewarm water).
Gargle: Saltwater gargle is beneficial for anybody suffering from a sore throat. It irrigates inflamed mucous membranes, and thus helps to release phlegm and bacteria. Again use 1% salt solution (10 g of salt in 1 litre of lukewarm water).
Inhalation: Biotermal may be used also for inhalation, primarily when suffering from sinusitis or upper respiratory infections. Dissolve 10 g of salt in 1 litre of hot water and inhale for approx. 15 minutes.
